Detroit Tigers shortstop Carlos Guillen limped off the field with a bruised shin during Saturday's game against the Atlanta Braves, but is expected to be out for only one game.
Guillen fouled a Tim Hudson pitch off his shin in the third inning and after being examined briefly on the field, was gingerly escorted to the clubhouse by trainer Kevin Rand.
"I wear a shin guard, but maybe I need two," Guillen joked. "It's the second time in the same spot this spring."Backup catcher Vance Wilson left the game after the third inning as well, with right elbow inflammation. Both Guillen and Wilson are day to day.
