Beantown's Game 2 Hero

I'm looking at you, J.D. Drew. Sweet bubble.

Drew blasted a shot in the ninth off well-oiled machine (62 SAVES) Francisco Rodriguez to boost the Boston Red Sox over the Los Angeles Angels 7-5 Friday night for a 2-0 lead in the ALDS.

Drew, who played in just two of his team's last 38 regular season games due to back problems, gave K-Rod déjà vu, bringing him back to last season's Game 2, where he totally blew it by serving up a game-ending tater to Manny Ramirez. Ah, memories.

Boston, now one win away from advancing to the AL Championship Series, recorded their 11th straight postseason victory over the Halos (and ninth overall) outscoring them 80-33 to set the record for most consecutive playoff wins over a single opponent. They'll look for the sweep Sunday night in Boston, when postseason hero Josh Beckett takes the hill to face lefty Joe Saunders.

The Tampa Bay Rays, Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Dodgers are also rolling with 2-0 series leads, making it a difficult road ahead for the Milwaukee Brewers and the entire city of Chicago.
