Sweet Lou Gets Swept
Didn't the Chicago Cubs just beat some South-Side ass like a week ago?
Revenge is sweet, as they say. But not as sweet as Lou Piniella, who was tossed from Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Chicago White Sox. Surprisingly, this marks Lou's first ejection of the season, usually hell bent on arguing balls, strikes and appeal calls at least a few times by now. Though, he's no Bobby Cox.
Carlos Quentin (whose nicknames of CQ and Little Conseco totally suck... we're working on new ones) is an homer-hitting machine of awesomeness lately. The guy pretty much can't be stopped, nailing his 18th longball of the season for the *game-winner Saturday night and his 19th to lead off the fourth inning Sunday.
The all-time series between these two rivals is now more heated than ever, knotted up at 33-33. Also, there were some pretty sweet brawls in the stands between Chicagoans... as if they don't honk at each other enough on the street. For the love of spilled beers, just hold out until the end of the video.
