Mark DeRosa Update

Mark DeRosa will undergo a heart procedure Thursday after experiencing an irregular heartbeat this Saturday during workouts.

The Chicago Cubs second baseman will have an electro-physiology study in which his doctor will try to induce atrial arrhythmia, and may also undergo a radiofrequency catheter ablation -- a medical treatment which uses electrical energy to kill tissues around the heart that are causing disturbances in rhythm.

No biggie though, as DeRosa is expected to return to Arizona this Sunday, be back on the field as early as Monday and ready to roll by March 8th.
