Sosa Not Done Yet

Sammy Sosa expects his phone to be ringing off the hook once teams are eligible to negotiate with free agents next week.

Before batting .252 with 21 bombs and 92 RBIs for the Texas Rangers this year, Sosa sat out for the entire 2006 season. The club gave him a $500,000, one-year chance, and he managed to make $1.35 million more in performance bonuses, even though he didn't see much action after the all-star break.

The 38-year-old outfielder finished with 609 career homers after becoming just the fifth player in history to reach 600.

"If they let me, I will reach 700," he said.
Sosa would like a little more dough in 2008 -- $7 million to be exact -- and he says he won't play for a penny less.
