Monroe to Compete With The Jasons

The Jasons have long been regarded as sucktastic by yours truly, so some new blood is a welcome sight to this girl.

The Minnesota Twins added Craig Monroe's veteran bat Tuesday, acquiring the outfielder from the Chicago Cubs for a player to be named later.

The 30-year-old struggled at the plate this season, batting .219 with 12 homers and 59 RBI in 122 games between the Cubs and Detroit Tigers... but that's okay since the other two Twins left fielders -- Jason Tyner and Jason Kubel -- drove in 77 runs combined.

Even though Monroe is a career .256 hitter with just 104 homers in parts of seven seasons, this is a step up.
