Mark Cuban Lied To Us
Remember when Mark Cuban said he was not interested in buying the Chicago Cubs?
He's changed his mind.
The Dallas Mavericks owner told the Chicago Tribune that he submitted an application to MLB with interest in purchasing the ballclub recently.
Cubs owner, Tribune Co. announced this April it was selling itself for $8.2 billion to Chicago real estate mogul Sam Zell, who made the deal contingent on shedding non-core assets... meaning the Cubs. The organization will go on the auction block at the end of the season.
My only question is, after shedding the dough to buy the Cubs, how will Cuban afford to clone himself to make it to both teams' games when the seasons overlap?
