Monday's Babelicious Scoreboard

I was going to recreate Mariano Rivera's blown save using Play-Doh, but I thought instead, we'd talk about how badass the Brew Crew is.

The Milwaukee Brewers own the best record in the majors at 22-10 with their 3-0 win last night over the Washington Nationals (9-23), who just plain stink.

Perfect through this season, Chris Capuano (5-0, 2.31 ERA) pitched into the ninth, striking out a season-high nine, allowing seven hits and walking none while Geoff Jenkins provided the run support with a three-run shot in the bottom of the second.

Matt Chico (2-4, 6.03 ERA) pitched seven solid innings, giving up eight hits and three runs. He struck out five and walked one in his longest outing of the season. Austin Kearns had three hits for the Nats and Ryan Zimmerman had two, but no one brought any runners around the horn.

J.J. Hardy singled in the fifth to extend his hitting streak to 18 games and Bill Hall had three singles for Milwaukee.

So, why are the Brewers so awesome?! rstiles from Stiles Points caught up with Rick Braun of the Milwaukee-Journal Sentinal to find out why. .
